SIMULATION DESIGNER
Position No. 13-09
Atlantis Systems International requires Simulation Designers with the ambition and skills necessary to work on aircrew training simulators and other simulation-based training devices.
Working closely with the Simulation Project Leader, you will extract requirements, analyze, design, develop and test new products. You will work in a multi-disciplinary development team with engineering team leaders and project management to successfully plan, manage, and execute the technical aspects of product development projects.
The Simulation Engineering Group is responsible for:
- Implementing simulation architectures which satisfy the allocated system requirements,
- Decomposing these architectures to the level needed for detailed design and development,
- Defining source materials needed by the group to execute these designs,
- Developing test methodologies to ensure that the outcomes of design and development satisfy allocated system requirements,
- Identifying and implementing opportunities for cost and schedule improvements,
- Understanding current simulation practices and technologies to generate innovative and creative solutions to simulation engineering problems,
- Generating detailed cost estimates and technical specifications for the simulation component of proposals,
- Supporting research and development efforts, make/buy evaluations, etc., as required,
- Providing technical support to the company's Programme Management and Marketing groups, as required.
The successful candidate will possess:
- An Aerospace or Electrical Engineering Degree or Physical Sciences Degree,
- Knowledge of and experience in formal analysis and design methods,
- The ability to review and interpret most forms of hardware and software engineering data, including block diagrams, schematic diagrams, engineering drawings, requirements specifications, functional specifications, system operation manuals, system maintenance manuals, etc.,
- Proficiency in programming in C/C++,
- The ability to embrace new technologies readily and make creative and novel contributions in the areas of simulation and interactive training techniques,
- Proficiency in planning and tracking work progress against established budgets and schedules,
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
The successful candidate will be a fast learner, self-motivated, and demonstrate good work habits with accuracy and attention to detail.
SOFTWARE DEVELOPER
Position No. 14-18
Atlantis Systems International requires Software Developers with the ambition and skills necessary to work on aircrew training simulators and other simulation based training devices.

The successful candidate will possess:
- A professional qualification appropriate to the role outlined above.
- Proficiency in programming in C++, preferably in the Windows XP environment. Experience with the .NET Framework and C# will be considered an asset.
- Knowledge of and experience in formal analysis and design methods.
- A demonstrated aptitude in reviewing and interpreting various forms of hardware and software engineering data, including block diagrams, schematic diagrams, engineering drawings, requirements specifications, functional specifications, system operation manuals, system maintenance manuals, etc.
- Experience interfacing and integrating with third-party hardware and software products.
- The ability to embrace new technologies readily and make creative and novel contributions in the areas of software design and interactive training techniques.

INSTRUCTIONAL DEVELOPER
Position No. 17-07
Atlantis currently has an immediate opening for an Instructional Developer.
This position requires the ability to:
- Develop exceptional course training materials for our clients,
- Work with a training development team of Instructional Systems Designers, Multimedia Developers, and Subject Matter Experts.
The incumbent is responsible for:
- Applying design principles to the development of training materials,
- Writing lessons and test questions that meet learning objectives,
- Selecting appropriate media for lessons and tests,
- Conforming to design specifications and standards,
- Revising course materials as per reviews,
- Monitoring status of assigned lessons and tests,
- Contributing to ongoing improvement of instructional design,
- Assuming other duties as assigned.
The successful candidate will likely possess the following:
- Bachelor Degree or Diploma with experience in Curriculum and Instructional Design/Development, Instructional Technology, Education or related field,
- Excellent analytical, writing, and visualization skills,
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,

JUNIOR GRAPHIC ARTIST/DIGIT MEDIA SPECIALIST
Position No. 27-13
Atlantis Systems International is currently looking for highly organized, detail-oriented Graphic Artists. There are two positions available. One is for a two-month assignment and the other is for a six-month assignment.
Working with the support and supervision of a small graphics team, the successful candidate will be involved in:
- The creation and editing of interactive media used in on-line training applications.
- The creation of still graphics and animations.
- Editing of existing media.
- Editing of photos.
Qualifications:
- Enrollment in or a recent graduate from a post–secondary Digital Media Arts College program.
- Proficiency with Adobe After Effects, Flash, and Adobe Photoshop in a Windows environment.
- Willingness to work with technical subject matter.
- The ability to adhere to strict guidelines and established practices.
- The ability to handle multiple assignments and maintain priorities. Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
The ability to manipulate existing 3D models (in 3D Studio Max) would be considered an asset, but not essential. Candidates would be required to provide samples of their work.
MATERIAL CONTROL COORDINATOR
Position No. 46-01
Atlantis Systems International Inc. currently has an immediate opening for a Material Control Coordinator. This position is for a 6 month assignment with the possibility of an extension up to one year.
This position requires the incumbent to:
- Be familiar with all internal manufacturing processes,
- Be able to attend design reviews and provide input in terms of past experience and availability of parts,
- Review technical information to ensure that designs are practical and economically feasible,
- Carry out all assigned work with minimum of supervision and in accordance with company and departmental policies and procedures,
- Communicate the skills clearly and unambiguously,
- Keep Programs/Production up to date,
- Keep management informed of activities and of any significant events,
- Provide effective written reports on issues and activities,
- Have the computer skills needed to perform all assigned activities.
The incumbent is responsible for:
- Incoming/outgoing material,
- Inventory control,
- Determining if parts are make/buy,
- Processing requisitions,
- Processing work orders, compiling the parts required for building sub-assemblies into a kit for production (i.e., kitting), etc.,
- Tracking part shortages for any internal projects,
- Providing quote support, as required, to Programs and Customer Support,
- Ensuring that all information for the product or purchase of components meets specification and is available on schedule,
- Gathering and organizing large amounts of data on components,
- Analyzing to ensure accuracy and completeness, and releasing it to Production or Purchasing in a timely fashion,
- Demonstrating the necessary interpersonal skills for effective cooperation with other individuals and departments,
- Volunteering ideas and suggestions to management for ways to improve processes and procedures.
Only candidates with the following qualifications will be considered:
