FINANCIAL ANALYST
Position No. 70-14

The Financial Analyst job is a permanent position in the Finance Department.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • thorough knowledge of public company financial reporting requirements
  • must be up to date on CICA handbook
  • several years of experience working in a public accounting firm
  • CA, CGA or CMA designation.

The successful candidate will:

  • Provide financial expertise in the review and analysis of financial information for resource allocation, management of short-term cash flow, control and reporting, expenditure and revenue justification and project costing.
  • Develop detailed financial reports, forecasts and budgets by collecting data, identifying financial goals and objectives, analyzing financial history and records, preparing financial tables, evaluating financial performance indicators and the like.
  • Conduct research and analysis to support a variety of activities, such as risk analysis and assessment, financial performance and overhead projections.
  • Assist the Financial Controller in preparation of insurance renewal documents and make recommendations regarding changes to insurance coverage.
  • Follow changes to the CICA standards and guidance publications, maintaining up-to-date files on relevant publications and keeping the Financial Controller informed of any relevant changes in procedural and reporting requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of the management’s discussion and analysis document on a quarterly basis.
  • Assist in the preparation of the management information circular on an annual basis.
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual information form on an annual basis.
  • Prepare adhoc reports as required.

In addition, the successful candidate will be:

  • Qualified to be registered under the Canadian Controlled Goods Directorate,
  • A strong team player,
  • A problem solver,
  • An excellent verbal and written communicator.

HELP DESK / IT SUPPORT
Position No. 71-05

Atlantis Systems International is currently looking to find a conscientious and capable person to help our Director of Information Technology and IT Team. This is a junior position within the company and offers excellent opportunities for challenge, advancement, and professional growth.

Working closely with the Director of Information Technology and the IT Team, you will manage the internal help desk, providing first line support for all internal applications and, as necessary, escalate to the appropriate person or team. You will provide basic break fix service for all desktop PCs and network printers, manage an inventory of equipment and parts, and ensure that backups are completed as scheduled and that disaster media is stored offsite.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Minimum 2 years related experience
  • A+ Certification or equivalent PC hardware support experience Familiar with Microsoft Windows 2000/XP, Linux, (MAC OS/X an asset)
  • Understanding of TCP/IP, subnetting and routing
  • Experience with supporting Microsoft Office

The successful candidate will:

  • Support corporate employees with PC hardware problems
  • Debug common software configuration errors
  • Maintain tape backups
  • Configure and deploy system images
  • Install and maintain Antivirus products
  • Assess and make recommendation on software tools
  • Work as a team member to create software deployment packages
  • Be a student of life-long learning

You also bring the following knowledge, skills, and expertise:

  • Preference given to MCSE
  • Familiar with CommVault Galaxy tape backup
  • Understanding of SQL maintenance tasks (MS SQL and MySQL)
  • A positive attitude and friendly manner. This is a customer service position.
  • Willingness to be on call
  • Must be able to multi-task, ensure a high degree of accuracy, and be detail oriented
  • Ability to communicate clearly in both verbal and written forms
  • Ability to both self-manage and work in a team
  • Some lifting is required (up to 50 lbs).
